Dr. Stein has served as a business consultant for over twenty years to public and private organizations. Dr. Stein has a Ph.D. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has been a faculty member of the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate and Professional Programs in Malvern, PA for over twenty years. He served as the Director of the New Ventures and Entrepreneurial Studies program at the school. He runs his own management consulting firm, the Barisoft Consulting Group, and has direct experience running an indoor vertical farm business (e3garden) in Media, PA.

Dr. Stein consults in a few areas: indoor agriculture, creativity and innovation, new venture development, strategy and general management.
Indoor Agriculture
Dr. Stein was recently commissioned by Kennett Township, New Garden Township and Kennett Square to execute a Feasibility Study for a Center of Excellence for Indoor Agriculture. The 200-page report covers all aspect of indoor farming and is available at KennettIndoorAg.info. He has given presentations at Indoor Ag-Con, FreshTec, at USDA sponsored conferences and workshops, to local PA municipalities and the City of Philadelphia.
Creativity and Innovation
Dr. has taught classes on creativity and innovation for over a decade and has written two books on the subject. He has also developed a survey instrument to measure the degree to which people express creative behaviors at work and play. More information is available at: ideasmethod.com
